A product that supports all the most popular scanners on the market with one single easy to use interface. And the list of supported radios is growing and growing. Scancat-Lite-Plus for Windows supports the memory programming for Radio Shack and Uniden Scanners and at a price that anyone can afford. The new Scancat-Lite PLUS is targeted to those radio owners that need to program the radio's memories, but do not need the additional scanning control.
In the tradition of other Scancat products, all radio supported are available in one software product. This means if you have any of the radios supported by Scancat-Lite PLUS, you only need to buy the one software program. If you have more than one radio that is supported, you can use the same databases from any of the radios (to the limits of their frequency coverage and features of course). Just pick the radio from the radio selection list and "plug it in". The program supports both programming the radio's memories and (if supported by the radio) downloading from the radio the frequency information already programmed. So you can download from one radio and send the same frequency information to a second or third radio. Try that with software that only supports a single radio.
If you do not have the frequencies for your area, the program supports the files created on the Mr. Scanner CD or downloads from the National Communications web site. Contact National Communications for both the Mr. Scanner Public Safety CD and Mr. Scanner CD ROM. You can also cut and paste from Excel. Either way there is little typing involved or in a matter of a few minutes your radio will be up and running - programmed with all your local frequencies. Remember all radios can use the same database (to the limits of their frequency coverage and features).

This combination CD provides you with all the tools you would ever need to
program your Uniden Bearcat or RadioShack scanner.
Scancat Lite Plus is the tool which will place data into the scanner you
pick. In most cases (depending on the scanner) it will provide two-way
communications between your computer and scanner -- will send frequencies
and talkgroup information to the scanner or will read the frequencies and
talkgroup information from your scanner to your computer.
The Mr. Scanner Public Safety CD rom provides a searchable database for
scanner frequencies from across the country. You can search in many ways,
including: City, County, Frequency, Licensee Name, City & Service, County &
Service and many more. Any of these searches will be displayed on your
monitor and they can be either printed or exported. The exported file can
be opened in the Scancat Lite Plus as a "Source" database. From that source
you can create a .RSD file which is the finalized database that can then
be programmed into the scanner.
Additionally the combination CD comes with over 1,000 pre-made .RSD files
(by county) from across the country. If the file for your area is there,
all you need to do is open it in the Scancat Program and then program your
radio. You can also make modifications to the pre-made RSD files and save
them as one of your personal databases.
